Our Professional Service Fee from $5,950

 

Our Professional Service fee includes:

  • Our availability and attention every day and all hours to receive your initial call or enquiry
  • Our staff to liaise with Nursing home, Hospice, Hospital or Coroner’s office
  • Transfer of deceased into our care from Metropolitan Public Hospital or Coroner (If 2 or more staff are required, POA)
  • Meet with you at our office during business hours to complete necessary paperwork and to confirm all details
  • Our staff to obtain cremation permits
  • Care and preparation of deceased (family to provide clothing), shroud provided in lieu of clothing
  • Sensible Funerals Coffin Ϯ 
  • Two staff and Hearse to attend
  • Viewing prior to the funeral service
  • Our celebrant to conduct funeral service during business hours
  • Simple guest book
  • Cremation fees
  • Application for Death Certificate

Ϯ​ The Sensible coffin (pictured above) is included in the price for all cremation services not in our Chapel

We can arrange or provide the following extra services at additional cost:

  • Medical certificates from $300 if charged by the doctor
  • Place Funeral Notice in the Advertiser
  • Place Death Notice in the Advertiser
  • Postage and Handling of ashes (POA)
  • A 1% surcharge will be incurred when paying by credit or debit card
  • Transfer of deceased into our care from over 40km radius of Adelaide (POA)
  • A standard transfer charge of $475 may apply when your loved one is located outside of the following public facilities:
    • Royal Adelaide Hospital
    • Modbury Hospital
    • Lyell McEwin Hospital
    • Queen Elizabeth Hospital
    • Flinders Medical Centre
    • Coroner’s office
  •   If the transfer takes place from another location, this fee helps cover the additional care and arrangements required
  • A transfer charge of $475 will also apply in the following cases:
    • Where the deceased weighs more than 90kg; or
    • Where two or more staff members are required to safely transfer the deceased from any metropolitan area.
  • If two or more staff members are required due to safety concerns related to excessive weight, or Distance outside of the metropolitan area:
  • The transfer fee will be determined upon application and may exceed the standard charge.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Cremation to occur at a crematorium and time chosen by Sensible Funerals.
  2. An oversize version of the coffin is available for an additional fee, shroud is complimentary.
  3. Full payment is required prior to the Service.
  4. All prices include GST.
  5. Pricing subject to change without notice.

Sensible Funerals

Sensible Funerals was founded by my father, the late Keith Russell, on the philosophy that a funeral does not have to be elaborate and cost a fortune for it to be dignified and respectful.
