THE SENSIBLE BURIAL with a Service in our Chapel. A simple and respectful funeral service conducted in our Chapel by one of our funeral celebrants followed by committal (burial) at a metropolitan cemetery of your choice.

Our Professional Service fee includes:

  • Our availability and attention every day and all hours to receive your initial call or enquiry
  • Transfer of deceased into our care from Metropolitan Public Hospital or Coroner (If 2 or more staff are required POA)
  • Meet with you at our office during business hours to complete necessary paperwork and to confirm all details
  • Care and preparation of deceased (family to provide clothing), shroud provided in lieu of clothing
  • Respectful coffin of solid construction
  • Viewing prior to the funeral service
  • Two staff and Hearse to attend
  • Our celebrant to conduct funeral service in our chapel during business hours followed by committal at the graveside, Two staff and Hearse to attend
  • A limitless library of music for your selection
  • Livestream of the Service if Lounge with refreshments is booked
  • Simple guest book
  • Application for Death Certificate

We can arrange or provide the following extra services at additional cost:

  • Tea, coffee, biscuits in adjoining Lounge for up to 45 minutes ($400)
  • Livestream of the Service ($135)
  • Medical certificates from $300 if charged by the doctor
  • Place Funeral Notice in the Advertiser
  • Place Death Notice in the Advertiser
  • Postage and Handling of ashes (POA)
  • A 1% surcharge will be incurred when paying by credit or debit card
  • Transfer of deceased into our care from over 40km radius of Adelaide (POA)
  • A standard transfer charge of $475 may apply when your loved one is located outside of the following public facilities:
    • Royal Adelaide Hospital
    • Modbury Hospital
    • Lyell McEwin Hospital
    • Queen Elizabeth Hospital
    • Flinders Medical Centre
    • Coroner’s office
  •   If the transfer takes place from another location, this fee helps cover the additional care and arrangements required
  • A transfer charge of $475 will also apply in the following cases:
    • Where the deceased weighs more than 90kg; or
    • Where two or more staff members are required to safely transfer the deceased from any metropolitan area.
  • If two or more staff members are required due to safety concerns related to excessive weight, or Distance outside of the metropolitan area:  The transfer fee will be determined upon application and may exceed the standard charge.

THE SENSIBLE COFFIN (PICTURED ABOVE) – STANDARD SIZE IS INCLUDED IN PRICE FOR ALL BURIALS

  • Celebration of life photo presentation with accompanying music compiled by our staff
  • Memorial cards and hymn books
  • Fresh flowers, rose petals or single blooms
  • Piper or organist
  • Hire car or limousine

  • A Minister of religion or funeral celebrant of your choice
  • Filming of funeral service

Terms & Conditions

  1. An oversize version of the coffin is available for an additional fee, shroud is complimentary.
  2. Full payment is required prior to the Service.
  3. All prices include GST.
  4. Pricing subject to change without notice.
